Apparently I have to do some research, but if someone already has the info, I'd appreciate it.
I have to come up with reasons' this girl (a witch) gets killed in each of her past lives.
I've got Ancient Greece where's she's killed because they believe her to be the Goddess Artemis trapped in human form, so they sacrafice her to free her.
I've got Medievil Times when the Lady gets angry and rips a door off the hinge and is them burned as a witch.
I've got the 1600's during the Salem Witch Trials.
What I'm having problems with is the 1800's and 1900's.
I figured in the 1900's she'd be at Woodstock or something.
I don't know. I need help.
Any ideas?

Interview Questions With Angela Rae by Ayisha Blevins

I recently did an online interview for a fellow author,

here it is for you to read:

Interview Questions With Angela Rae

By Ayisha Blevins

www.freewebs.com/187690

1. What made you start writing?

I enjoy books and movies, I always have.  Ive been reading nonstop since I was 13.  When I watch a movie or read a new book, I find myself often creating characters and situations that could have gone into that particular story.

2. Where do you get your inspiration to write?

Sometimes Ill just get an off the wall idea and I have to put it to paper.  My first book, One of You, I partially wrote in high school during a weird patch in my life.  When I was flipping through old stories one night, I saw it and thought to myself Hmm, how can I redo this and update it?  I spent a lot of nights at my computer until I was happy with it, and decided to post it on Myspace.  A friend said I should look into publishing it, so with the support of my husband and family, I did.

3. What books do you have published right now?

Currently:

One of You   ISBN: 1-4241-7577-1   By Angela Rae

Future:

Untitled One of You Sequel

Untitled Witch Story

4. Are you planning on writing a series in the future?

Yes, One of You is only the first book, I have a second one written, and I plan to have a 3rd and 4th.  One book to focus on each of the main characters respectively.

5. How often do you try to write?

Well, for quite a while I was writing every night, but sometimes you just get tired of focusing on the same characters all the time, so I took a little break.  Through the Christmas Season I was working my full time job at JCPenneys as well as a part time job at Borders Express, so I was very busy.  Since the holidays Im still working hard as ever, and find myself simply too tired to just sit and think of things.

6. Do you have any books in progress that you are working on this moment?

Yes, always.  As I said, I have the sequel already written, but Ive also got another story being written that Ive been told is very exciting.

7. What advice or tips would you give to young writers?

Keep a journal: If youve got something on your mind write it down.

Explore your creativity: Poetry, song, short story, painting, it doesnt matter.

Be true to yourself: Not everyones going to like what you have to say.  Who cares?  Its your opinion, not theirs.

8. Besides writing, do you have any other hobbies or activities that you participate it?

Im also a photographer.  I do weddings, senior pictures, pre school portraits and children.

9. Do you have a website, and if yes what is it?

Yes, I have one for my writing:

www.freewebs.com/angelarae

and I have one for my photography:

www.freewebs.com/angelabradley

10.  Is there anyone that you would like to thank for supporting you in your writing career?

I dedicated my first book to my husband, John.  He supported me through the whole process.

11. What genres do you write in?

I cater mainly to Young Adult, though Ive seen quite a few Adults read my first book.  I really wanted to get into Romance, but Im having my doubts on that one.

12. Have or do you plan on submitting any of your books to a movie company?

I would absolutely LOVE to have One of You on the big screen, but honestly I wouldnt know where to start.  If anyone has any names or emails Id be more than happy to send them a copy!

13. What is your name?

I write under Angela Rae, and Id prefer to be known as such.

14.  How hard was it for you to get published?

Not very hard at all.  I contacted PublishAmerica, and they told me to send them my manuscript.  The hardest, most torturous part was the wait.  When I finally got that email, I was ecstatic.

15. Where can someone order your book(s)?

I have links to everything on my website, but Ill tell you that you can order my book through:

www.publishamerica.com (click bookstore!)

www.amazon.com

at any Borders/Borders Express and Barnes & Nobles.

16. Do you think you will ever stop writing?

When my imagination has run dry, perhaps

Okay, I've decided to do it this way....  It'll just be easier in the long run, right?

**CONTEST CURRENTLY GOING ON IN MY GUESTBOOK, CHECK IT OUT!!**

(*NEW*) Well, I do want to let those of you who did enjoy my book that book 2's ROUGH DRAFT has been finished.  Yeah!  I have to have my editor go over it, I may have to change a few things, but that's okay. I'm also letting you know that I'm in the process of writing another Young Adult Fiction, about another group of 4 seniors (*sigh* why must I keep going back to high school?) but this time, a girl finds out her ancestors were witches.  Real witches, with actual powers and stuff, ya know?  Like mind reading, visions, levitation, real "Criss Angel: Mind Freak" shit...lol. I'll let everyone know when it's done, and I'll also let everyone know when Book 2 has been edited.  I'm holding my breath to get either of these published, though, because from what I've heard, PA only signs a second book with authors who have broken even, and I think I'd have to sell 50 to do that....
SO LET'S BOOST MY SALES AND
TELL PEOPLE ABOUT IT!

If you liked it, buy one for a friend!
If you haven't read it yet...
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???
LOL!
Much luv ppls! ~Angela Rae

Booksigning!!!

Posted by Angela Rae on December 17, 2007 at 2:11 AM Comments comments (0)

First Booksigning!

As far as I'm concerned it was a big success!

I was at Borders Express at the Beaver Valley Mall from 12-4,
and I sold 4 books, 3 of which were people I didn't know at all,
they were just shopping and happened to like the sounds of my book!

But as a NEW author, and FIRST signing, I was told that 4 books is
comparable to Danielle Steele doing selling 100 at a signing!

Well, that's enough to make me EXSTATIC!

My sister took 3 pics, 2 of which are blurry, but it's okay...

I get nervous, and I fidget, and...I think I look good in yellow, what do you think?
It's probably my favoritest color, and it makes me happy.
I'll probably wear yellow next time too.
